If detergent remains on the dishes after thorough washing, check if the rinse mode is on. By the way, I once had such a case when a dishwasher failed and it randomly set programs. Absolutely not what I needed. I had to give it to the dishwashers repair service so that the masters figured out what was what. And they fixed the machine.
